Over the last few months, my life has been quite tough with my little baby girl being sick and in and out of hospital. I may or may not write about this more later, but, I have still enjoyed some girlie pleasures through it all…especially my new healthy lipsticks I’ve been trying! So here they are with my thoughts on all of them and a few snaps to show you how they look. Happy to answer any questions about them afterwards in the comments.
Bite Beauty, which I believe is from Canada, makes the most beautiful lipsticks! Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Crayon in Tatin and Bite Beauty High Pigment Pencil in Rhubarb have been my favourite products all through winter and I’ll continue using them. The product feels great, smells good and tastes nice also. It goes on so easily and the packaging is super modern and smooth. I LOVE this product and can highly recommend it. Here are some videos to show you just how nice they are…

The next nice lipstick I’ve been trying is from Karen Murrell: https://www.beautifulbecause.com.au/products/karen-murrell-lipstick-cordovan-natural. It’s a really nice lipstick, very smooth, soft, healthy and in an on trend colour for the next season. Great price to go with it. The packaging is really nice…check out their lipstick container in this quick video – very cool…pardon Sophia in the background arriving in the bathroom as I was filming 😉

Neek is an Australian lipstick that I would like to highlight here too: http://neekskinorganics.com/ . It just feels good to use it knowing that it’s healthy and Australian and the colour I’ve got here is lovely: “Sweet About Me”. It is a fairly dry feeling lipstick and takes a few goes at getting it on. Admittedly it does stay on pretty well due to how dry it is. I’m guessing this has something to do with the specific organic ingredients in the product but I don’t really mind because I know it’s healthy for me…I guess it comes down to what’s important to you and what feels good.
Vapour Elixir Plumping Lip Gloss in Flare is a new gloss that I’ve just purchased, again in a new season colour, and feels really nice on. As with most lip glosses it does tend to come off pretty quickly but it feels really nice wearing it and putting it on is super easy. It’s very soft and luscious. Fantastic healthy ingredients are in this US product. It’s organic and plumping; two ticks in my book when it comes to gloss 🙂
Inika is the last great lipstick I want to mention here. “INIKA is one of the world’s first healthy makeup brands. Their beautiful products are 100% natural and over two thirds of the range is Certified Organic by the Organic Federation of Australia (OFC). They use only the finest botanicals and minerals – chosen for quality, tested for purity and checked for safety. Their products are cruelty-free, toxin-free, vegan and environmentally friendly.” The colour I’ve got is Naked Kiss. It actually has bit of a shimmer that doesn’t show up well on the picture on the internet. The product is nice and a little dry but again feels good wearing it. It does stay on for a fairly long time so that’s good.
So that’s my summary of my latest lipstick finds. It’s been really great testing them all out. Pardon my first videos; it’s fairly late at night, I’m trying them out on my iPhone, I’m not wearing any make up apart from the lipsticks of course…and I’ve had a few wines to boot! But I might also add that there’s something calming about watching someone put on lipstick or is that just me? 😉 I’ll probably look back on these and laugh in years to come…let’s hope anyway.
